So glad you’re dropped in to learn about THE CHOICE FOR BEAUTY Substack. It’s created by Mark Raynes Roberts, a world-renowned crystal sculptor and painter, and Sarah Hampson, an award-winning author and journalist, who worked for over 20 years as a columnist and feature writer for The Globe and Mail, Canada’s leading national newspaper. We have a lot of fun, working on our Substack as it sharpens our view on the world, looking for what is beautiful and worthy of attention. As we said in one of our first posts, “Forget doom-scrolling. We prefer beauty-surfing.” We hope you feel the same way and will join along with us as we discover and document all that is good and inspiring - in the arts, in architecture, gardening, and in quotidian observations from our life here in Chester, Nova Scotia, where we have a house on a hill overlooking the great expanse of the ocean.

On Sundays, Mark writes a Free Substack for all followers. On Thursdays, Sarah writes a Substack post that is behind the paywall. Certain stories that Sarah writes will be free on an ad hoc basis.
