Pardon the late posting. Yesterday, I returned from London, England, having spent four days there to visit my parents. Oof. Jet lag is harder to recover from as I get older. I was somewhere mid-Atlantic in mind and body for most of the day. In limbo. Not quite grounded. More human today. Returning to sunsets and sunrises and our garden rising in beauty all help.
My flight over on Wednesday last week was supposed to be a day flight but got cancelled - due to IT issues in Heathrow - so I was rerouted to Montreal to fly overnight, arriving early Thursday morning.
A nap, then off to the Chelsea Flower Show with one of my sisters and our mother.
Through the crowd, we managed to catch a glimpse of renowned British horticulturist and broadcaster, Monty Don, giving former ‘British Bake Off’ television presenter, Mary Berry, a tour of the Dog Garden at the Chelsea Garden Show. No soggy bottom here! The Dog Garden celebrates the connection between between dogs and gardens - and on the day we were there, was being filmed. Monty Don, who is host of BBC Gardeners’ World, designed the space with daisies, dandelions and clover. They provide pollen for wildlife, help mitigate drought and improve the hardiness of the lawn.
